STOP LETTING EVERYBODY ELSE TALK YOU OUT OF WHAT YOU SEE IN YOUR CHILD.
You noticed the behavior.
Then somebody told you, “Give it time.”
Somebody else said, “Every child develops differently.”
And now you're sitting there trying to convince yourself you don't see what you KNOW you keep seeing.
Sis, how long are we gonna keep doing this?
I'm Coach Okenya. I help moms stop second-guessing what they're seeing in their child's development and behavior, find their voice, and confidently take the next step toward getting their child the support they need.

LET ME GUESS
You've noticed things about your child's behavior or development that don't sit right with you. Maybe they're struggling to talk, homework ends in tears, or the teacher keeps calling about their behavior. But instead of getting answers, you start making excuses.
"He's just a late talker."
"She's just being dramatic."
"I was the same way growing up."
Then somebody tells you, "Girl, they'll grow out of it."
And whew, that's exactly what you wanted to hear. Because asking questions might mean hearing something you're not ready for. But sis, just because somebody made you feel better doesn't mean the behavior disappeared. So how much longer are you going to keep looking for reassurance instead of answers.
AND BEFORE YOU THINK I'M JUDGING YOU
Sis, I was that mom. When my son wasn't meeting certain milestones, I noticed. But everybody had something to say.
"Boys develop slower."
"He'll talk when he's ready."
"Give him time."
And guess what? I listened. Part of me wanted them to be right because I was scared of what I might find out. But the concerns didn't disappear. When I finally pushed for an evaluation, my son didn't qualify the first time. Imagine if I had stopped there. But I didn't. I pushed again, and the second time, he qualified for services. That's when I started learning something that changed how I showed up for my son. I didn't need everybody to agree with me before I could speak up. And that's why I created Mother's Voice Coaching. I know what it's like to question yourself when everybody else seems so sure. But I also know what happens when you finally start trusting your own voice.
YOU DON'T NEED ANOTHER PERSON TELLING YOU TO WAIT. YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT.
Imagine being the mom who can say:
"I hear what you're saying, but I still have concerns."
The mom who asks questions without worrying about sounding stupid.
The mom who stops walking away from conversations wishing she had said something.
The mom who knows how to document what she's seeing, find resources, and prepare for the next conversation.
That's the woman I help you become.
Because advocating for your child doesn't start when somebody hands you a diagnosis.
It starts when you decide your concerns deserve answers.

WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW?

$1 Handout
AM I OVERTHINKING THIS?
You've asked everybody about your child's behavior. But have you actually stopped to look at what YOU'VE been noticing?
Your child keeps showing you something that doesn't sit right.
But every time you think about looking into it, somebody says, "Girl, that's normal."
And just like that, you're questioning yourself again.
Sis, how many more people need to reassure you before you start asking questions?
This handout helps you recognize what you've been brushing off, understand what's keeping you stuck, and start paying attention to the concerns you keep talking yourself out of.
Inside, you'll explore:
- The concerns moms often dismiss.
- How fear, guilt, and denial can influence your decisions.
- Questions to help you examine what you've been noticing.
- What to start paying attention to moving forward.
STILL NOT READY TO MAKE A MOVE?
That's fine. But don't disappear and go right back to questioning yourself.
